Just in case you are wondering...

why I haven't posted photos of Leighton lately! He does not like getting his picture taken. While celebrating the holidays with family he would literally cry and scream if he thought someone was going to take a picture of him! I tried to get some today, and no bribe was good enough.

I got faces like this:

Him and his "baby" that never leaves his side:

ANYTHING to avoid eye contact:

And a bunch of faces that just aren't "Leighton":

Oh well, I guess I will just try again later! Wish me luck!

My little eskimo.

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. Just had to share two new ones of Mady. I didn't get as great of a shot as I was hoping for, so hopefully I will be able to try again soon. Remember that the deadline for orders is coming soon, January 15. We have our c-section scheduled for February 14 at 1:00 pm. Yep, Valentine's Day! It was that or Jonathan's birthday so we didn't have a lot of choices. We are praying everything goes well. I haven't loaded any pictures from Christmas day yet, but hopefully will have some to share when I do!

My last wedding of 2007

First of all, please remember that the holiday deadline has already passed, and the deadline for all orders before my maternity leave is January 15.

Josh and Ashley were my last wedding for 2007. They are an incredible couple with great family and very fun friends. After spending their wedding day with them, I feel as though I know them. Their ceremony was beautiful and their reception was so much fun. I wish I had more time to spend with them, but that is a sacrifice you make to get married in such a beautiful chapel (they usually book 3 weddings every Saturday)! Josh did not get to see Ashley before the ceremony (how romantic!) and she was a stunning bride. The dance floor was packed and I am sure everyone had a great time. Here's a sneak peek!

Order Deadlines

This is just a reminder to everyone that Sunday, December 9 is the last day to order for the holidays. If you need your portraits by December 24, all orders must be in by Sunday. Another important reminder is that my maternity leave begins February 1 and goes until April 1. All orders needed before April 1 must be in my January 15! Thank you!

And because I can't post without images, here are some from a wedding this fall. They were the greatest couple to work with and had a wonderful family too.

Mady's Photography!

Okay, there is a very good chance I will take this post down and realize I am crazy so you'd better look now! Anyways, Mady (my 4 year old) loves taking pictures about as much as I do. Today she asked me if she could take pictures of her baby sister. I soon realized she meant my tummy! But, she didn't want to just snap a few, she wanted me to change clothes, set up the background, and everything! Any of you that know me personally know that I get HUGE when I am pregnant. So even though we have 10 weeks to go, I figured that my belly was big enough to let her take some pictures. She did a great job and had a lot of fun. Leighton stepped in for a few and she was laughing at him "belly bumping" me so hard I was afraid she'd drop the camera! Anyways, here are some of the pictures that she took of my gigantic pregnant belly!

Need a laugh??

I decided on a new "theme" for Christmas cards for the 4th time in the last two months. I searched and searched for the perfect matching pajamas for the kids, put up the Christmas tree, bought cookies for "Santa" and planned everything to a T. The only thing I didn't take into account is that my children suffer from photographer's child syndrome. They really really make me work for a decent picture of them! They know all of my tricks and don't fall for them anymore. The only thing that worked this year was to pretend like I was taking them with Leighton's viewmaster (he calls it a camera) and actually take them with my camera one handed! It was quite a difficult task. I can't share the actual cards until we've sent them out, but I thought I would show you some of the outtakes in case you need a good laugh! I will put one of Mady putting lights in the window too because it's cute.

And I thought this one looked like Santa walked in and caught Leighton eating his cookies!

Thankful...

There are so many things to be thankful this Thanksgiving. If I tried to make a list someone or something would be left out. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner prepared with love by my husband and got to spend the day at home. No traveling, no distractions, just us. It was great. One of the things I am most thankful for is my family. I am so thankful for everyone close to me, especially my husband and two (soon to be three) children. Here are a few pictures of Mady and Leighton!

Happy Thanksgiving!!
