It's time to share..

some pictures of my studio! It's still a work in progress, but I feel like I have done enough work to share it with all of you! My grandpa is an amazing and generous man. He has always been one of my biggest supporters and has really helped me to make it to where I am today. He is one of my biggest fans, and he is one of my favorite people in all the world. He also owns a shop on Main Street of my home town. The shop is where he runs his grain bin business, used to have an automotive shop, where the boys work on their race cars, and where he stores some of his classic car collection. Well, he used to store a car in the front room of his shop, but has graciously let me convert the space into a studio instead! I go down there a few times a month and do sessions (mostly seniors). Since I don't use the space a whole lot, I had a very small budget for the space. I am going to show you the pictures first, and then I will tell you how much I spent!

Here are some before and afters:

And here are a few of the almost finished studio:

And I spent less than $100!!! I bought 3 cans of mis-mixed paint from Lowes for $5 per can! I had all of the frames and wasn't using them anymore. The rug and blue curtains used to be in my living room and we weren't using them anymore. The tan curtains were on clearance at Lowe's for about $5 per panel and I am not sure who's loveseat that used to be, but my grandpa's wife asked if it would be okay to put it there! It even has a pull out bed, so I suppose I could take a nap between sessions if I had to ;)! I signed up with a new lab and used the print credits to purchase the displays and I had some of them already. I also bought some fabric and a couple of cans of spray paint to refinish my grandpa's 1970s chairs, but only got one done so far. So there you have it! My almost done, less than $100 studio makeover!

And because I had forgot to include it before, the carpeting was free too. I got it from my husbands work, they had it left over after the new store was built. They needed to get rid of it and I needed some carpet!

It's Leighton's turn!

It's been a long time since I have posted any pictures of Leighton. I have been trying to get some new pictures of the kids to update my walls at home, and although I usually do black and white, I have been gravitating to bright and bold colors. We didn't get too many because about 5 minutes after we went outside the landscapers showed up to mow the lawn, go figure!

My little sweetheart!

I haven't posted any pictures of Ryleigh in a while so I figured it's about time. Here are a few from the other day in her cute new hat from Janie and Jack! They just opened one in the Mall of America not too long ago, and I am certainly addicted! If you have a little girl or boy you should check them out online ! Ryleigh is really into that tongue sticking out stage! It is so funny to watch her play with her tongue. She must have gotten tired of me because she even fell asleep during our shoot!

Part sweetheart plus part stinker....

Equals a whole lot of cuteness! Little Miss Reese is now 2 years old! She is absolutely one of my favorite people to take pictures of. She is so full of sweetness and spunk it makes for an interesting session! Her mommy was hoping we'd get 5 good ones, so I hope she isn't disappointed. Here is a sneak peek:

This picture is one of my new all time favorites! I think it captures her perfectly~

She is quite the monkey and we wanted to keep her happy, so we let her climb!

I couldn't decide between black and white or color, so you get both!

These two...

These two are such little sweethearts! Zach is full of questions, and your answers to his questions create more questions! I love how inquisitive he is! And he made me feel welcome as soon as I walked in the door, even though he had just woke up from his nap. Maddie is so sweet! She called me "Christmas" instead of Kristen! I still giggle thinking about it. She has such a great personality for such a little girl! Here are a few from their session:
