Do you see it?

I have been told by my mom and my aunt that Ryleigh looks like me when I was a baby. I am terrible at seeing resemblences, and really can't tell if they are right or crazy! I have noticed that she has one eye that squints more than the other when she smiles like I do. She has the same hair line, but her cheeks are definately getting bigger than mine. Anyways, my mom brought over a picture of me from when I was about 3 months old. Of course Ryleigh is only 2 months, but I thought I would post it and some of Ryleigh and see if you see the resemblence! Go ahead and vote!

Here's me at 3 months:

Chubby Cheeks

I hope you aren't sick of seeing pictures of Miss Ryleigh! She is growing so quickly, I just can't believe it. She had her two month check up last week and weighed in at a whopping 11 pounds 9 ounces and was 23.25 inches long! She is one big girl. I cannot believe how chubby her cheeks are starting to get. I love chubby babies so I hope she keeps it up! Here are a few from today of my sweet baby girl!

Random photos...

The last few days have been really busy. We had Mady's birthday which included a trip to Build A Bear Workshop again. It also finally warmed up so we got to spend time outside drawing with sidewalk chalk and Mady got to practice playing tball. Leighton picked up "pinecorns" (pinecones) in the yard while Mady played. She asked for baseball stuff for her birthday so she could play with her dad this summer! She ended up with a pink glove and helmet, and a Dora bat and tball set. She LOVES it! Ryleigh also got to wear short sleeves for the first time, and has become quite fond of sticking her tongue out at me. Here are a few snapshots from this week:

These cost me $2!

I decided last week to reshoot Leighton's pictures since I wasn't too happy with them. I have little faith in the weather in Minnesota, so even though it is beautiful this week, I was convinced that I had to do them last week, on a rainy day, because I was sure it would never warm up. I had to pay Mady and Leighton each $1 for literally 6 minutes of their time. The funny thing is I ended up ordering his canvas from the first session! Oh well, I am sure some of these will go on the wall too.

Happy Birthday Mady!

Happy birthday my dear sweet Mady! I cannot believe that you are five years old already. It seems like just yesterday when I saw your sweet face for the first time. You are the best daughter a mommy could ask for. You are spunky and sweet, you are the perfect mix of princess and tomboy, and you have your daddy wrapped around your finger. I love the way you always dance around, the way you love to learn, and the way you snuggle with me. You are the best big sister in the world and are so helpful with your brother and sister. You are so smart, and love to learn. You know how to make everyone around you smile and can light up any room. You have the ability to find beauty in everything and love animals so much you have pet mice and a pet worm! Not many people can find the beauty in those, but you love them with all of your heart. You are a very special girl and I am truly convinced that this world is a better place because you are in it. Happy 5th birthday Mady, I love you.

Congratulations Gina & Garth!

Thank you so much Gina and Garth for allowing me to capture your precious wedding memories. You two make a beautiful couple and had the perfect wedding! I felt the love radiating from the both of you, and your friends and family were so great to be around. Zachary is one lucky little boy to have such amazing people to care for him and guide him through his life. I know Gina is anxious to see some images, so even though I haven't even downloaded them all on my computer yet, I thought I'd put some up for her to see. I also have to thank my amazing friend and incredible photographer Jenny, who came along and helped me out. I couldn't have done it without her and am so grateful she was there. I know Gina and Garth were too, so from all of us, thank you Jenny! Here are a few to hold you over Gina!

Along came a wasp...

and the photoshoot was done! I finally had the perfect opportunity to take Leighton's 3 year portraits yesterday. It was pretty warm, still windy but not the tornado-like winds from the day before, and my aunt was here and took the girls for a walk so it was just me and Leighton. He did not share my vision, and kept asking me for the gum I was bribing him with for when the session was over. Then I noticed a wasp nearby. Keeping a very close eye on it, I continued to try to get one picture worthy of representing the third year of his life. Soon enough the wasp landed on Leighton and I had to try to get it off without upsetting it or Leighton. Once it flew away we hurried out of there. I didn't get the peerfect three year old portrait I had hoped for, but here's what I did get. Look by the red arrow in two of them and you can see the wasp!
