All grown up...
Here is my little Munchkin, all grown up! I am sure you recognize her picture, she has been on here a lot. This is my cousin Sydney. She is going to be a senior, and I used to change her diapers! Wow, I feel old now. Sydney is beautiful and we had a lot of fun driving around Minneapolis to find some fun places to do some of her senior portraits (okay I actually googled Minneapolis parks and picked a few places, but took a few wrong turns so it turned into an adventure!). It was pretty funny to see how she reacted to all of the diversity in the cities. She wants to go away to college to a large city and has grown up in rural Iowa. I think she should come spend some time with us so we can "break her in" before she lives in a city alone! She is going to kill me for posting one of her jumping and splashing in the fountain, but they were too fun not to! She is taller than I am so I really need a new nickname for her, but Munchkin just seems to fit. Here is part one of her senior pictures, there will be more to come later!

Baby bump!
There is a bit of a baby boom amongst my friends right now. Several of them are pregnant and having babies this fall, but only a few are brave enough to let me take their maternity portraits! This is Jenny, a very dear friend of mine and a fellow photographer. If she looks familiar it's probably because I posted images from her wedding last fall. Her and her husband, Danny, are expecting a baby boy in September! Jenny is truly as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. It was an honor to take her maternity portraits, and a bit nerve wracking with the added pressure of her being a professional photographer too! Danny is a musician, so he brought along a metronome to hold up to Jenny's belly! They were too cute for words. It took some convincing to get Danny to take his shirt off in the middle of a field, but I think it created some beautiful and romantic images. This is the same field I took some of their wedding portraits in, and we will be going back after the baby is born to do some of the family and newborn in the same spot! Jenny is hoping I got at least one or two good ones, and I hope she likes more than that. Here are a few of my favorites so far!

Sweet girls!
The other day I had the pleasure of photographing two incredibly sweet and beautiful girls. I had such a great time and they definitely kept me on my toes! I am sure they keep mom and dad very busy! And on Thursday it is their daddy's birthday! He is such a lucky man he will be getting a portrait of all 3 of his girls for his birthday! Here are just a few of my favorites so far, I am having a really tough time narrowing them down!

All 3
The other night I thought it would be fun to run out and get a few pictures of all 3 kids. What was I thinking?!?! I had envisioned one of them all interacting taken from far away and then I could order a huge canvas for above my couch. To my surprise, they were much more into posing (or at least trying to pose) than interacting. My husband was with (he usually avoids being around during pictures as much as possible) and I told him it would only take 10 minutes. He thought I was crazy and that we would be there for half an hour. Well, about 11 minutes from when we pulled in we left, and that includes getting all of the kids out of and back into the car! This is the third location I have spotted and the other two were mowed down soon after I noticed them, so I felt an urgent need to go there asap! Hopefully it will still be there in a couple of weeks so I can go back and get individuals and possibly the interacting one I keep visualizing!
On a side note, Ryleigh's first tooth poked through this week!!

Sweet baby boy!
Meet Cade, my newest member of my Watch Me Grow program! I had the pleasure of taking his newborn portraits last week, and he was such a sweetie! He has a head full of dark hair and the sweetest blue eyes. He wasn't ready to go to sleep, so we tried some pictures with daddy. Cade didn't think that was such a good idea and he even got his daddy all wet! That was all it took though. After some cuddle time with mommy he was sound asleep! Here are a few of my favorites from Cade's first session!
