{Minneapolis/St Paul Wedding Photographer}

I had the honor of capturing this amazing backyard wedding in Charles City, Iowa this summer with my fabulous assistant Jodie. Jessica and Stuart were living out of state while participating in Campus Crusade for Christ, so I did not meet them until the day of their wedding! They were so warm and welcoming and made us feel like family from the moment we arrived. Everything took place at Jessica's parents' farm and they had so many wonderful little touches everywhere, they really put a lot of thought into personalizing their wedding and it truly reflected them as a couple. Jessica is the sweetest, most bubbly and kind hearted person and she was glowing the entire day! You could see Stuart's love for Jessica every time he would look at her, it was such a great feeling to watch them together! They also shared their very first kiss together ever on their wedding day!!! They promised each other on their first date they would wait until their wedding day to kiss, and they did! That is so admirable and I was honored to have witnessed it (and captured it for them to remember forever). Congratulations Stuart and Jessica, I wish you an eternity of love and happiness!

Meet lil' Mr. Merik! He was such an adorable little boy!! He weighed 9lbs 11oz at birth, so he had the most loveable and kissable cheeks! He stayed awake for a couple of hours despite all of my tricks and several feedings, but was perfectly content the entire time! He finally dozed off just long enough for me to capture some precious sleeping portraits! Here's a sneak peek, enjoy!

Here is the adorable Miss Madeline! Remember the awesome Dr Suess room?! This is the little lady who gets to sleep in it! I had the honor of going back to her home to capture her newborn portraits. Her mommy and daddy got in some too and they are truly going to be great parents. I love when you can just feel their love for Madeline by looking at them. Oh my! Look at this poor neglected blog! A lot has been going on since my last post! I had the opportunity to head to Los Angeles for some fun photo shoots (pictures to come soon), I ended up terribly sick and in the hospital (which I'm still trying to catch up from), I've photographed some precious newborns, adorable children, and amazing weddings, all this while trying to enjoy the end of summer, caring for my children, and getting them ready for school! It's been a bit chaotic to say the least. I am working very hard to get caught up so there should be several posts her in the coming weeks. We do leave for family vacation this month and I will be unavailable September 20-30 so please keep that in mind!
