Well, we had been planning a trip to Duluth to spend some time on the beach for a very long time. Who would have thought that it would only be in the sixties and windy and cold?! Only in Minnesota ;)! Mady is a complete beach babe, she would spend all day everday at the beach if she could. I think we need to move somewhere tropical! One of my fabulous mentees, Barb, made the trip and took some family pictures for us, and we spent some time photographing the kids too. Most of my family woke up with colds that morning, so we were a pretty miserable bunch but we didn't want anything to ruin our trip. Here are just a few I've gotten ready so far!
And two family ones from Barb! (Barb, email me if you want me to take them down!) My favorite picture of the day! I am thinking of getting a big canvas of it!
Kristen! There are so many good ones from that day!!! I love the Ryleigh sucking her thumb! I knew you had the angle on that! I also didn't get nearly the eye contact you did with the kids! These are incredible! I can learn from these!!!
Each and every one of these is so beautiful! And you are a great mentor because Barb did an amazing job on your family photos. I agree that last one would be a great canvas.
Kristen, these are sooooo cool. Love the last one of your family; it is wonderful! And of course Princess Thumbsucker is adorable. Did yuo by any chance take a shot of just the path leading down towards the water? Love that--what a great place!
Awww, these are so cute. I know! Isn't getting cold, but today it was actually pretty nice:) My family and I are going to Grand Marais on Friday for a long weekdend, I hope we don't freeze:) Love your work, I have your blog bookmarked and visit it often.
I cant believe what a great bunch of photos you got all in one day. I can't get my kids to do anything like this (or sit still long enough to...haha) Love the clean processing and the colors.
